The advent calendar you draw yourself. Start any evening you like.
“I can’t draw.” Lovely. Say it one last time, then open door 1.
Behind each door, someone silly and adorable is waiting: a penguin in a crown, a gnome with his own mug, a cow who turned up wrapped in fairy lights and refuses to discuss it. Lamp on, pen in hand, and the evening turns into the cosiest giggle of the day.
Never drawn in your life? Even more fun. Every penguin comes out with her own attitude.
It just might be the happiest little creative ritual of the season: open a door, pick up a pen, and the holiday cheer turns up early.
Calorie-free joyful adventure. A bit too much fun.

“As a cat person, I love the cat doodles. The illustrations are funny and enjoyable and level up the mood significantly.”
“I’ve moved on to creating pieces that actually get compliments!”
The Advent Calendar
Mid-November, 1 December, Christmas week. The doors genuinely don’t mind.
Lamp on, curtains drawn, a little door, and someone silly waiting behind it.
I laugh out loud at a piece of paper most nights. The cat finds this concerning.

The whole lesson
Only the newest line is in colour.
So you never once wonder what comes next.
I’ve tried to get lost in it. It can’t be done.

Watch the pen
In The Whole of Christmas, my video lessons draw right beside you, slowly enough to pause for a sip and catch up.
Watch a wiggle become a reindeer.
Then draw your own and feel ridiculously proud of it.

Wears the crown to breakfast. Nobody has asked to see the paperwork.

Has found the bauble you love most, and is looking right at you.

Chose the jumper himself. You can tell.

Takes so long to come in that the house gets cold.

Missing a bit of leg and refusing to make a scene.

Came for tea and has quietly moved in.

Wrapped herself in fairy lights. Outshines the tree, and the tree has noticed.

Shift's over. Feet up, halo on the hook.

Dressed as the Christmas tree and waiting for a compliment. Please be quick.

Was a pair of snowballs this afternoon. Now wears sunglasses indoors.

Every one of them made the Nice List,
and not one of them can tell you how.

Where they end up
Nobody warns you. You draw one penguin
and suddenly every plain surface in the house looks unfinished.

My initial sketches of trees were laughably similar to broccoli. But, with each lesson from Full Bloom, they've started to look like majestic oaks and graceful willows. This progress has been deeply satisfying and a testament to the club's effectiveness and my own resilience.
This made us laugh so much! Each guest was given 1 min to come up with a cute shark drawing and follow the step by step instruction. Each person had different drawing experience which made it even more fun to compare and discuss the drawings in the end. Hilarious stories were born and comparisons made. Really enjoyed it and looking forward to round 2 on my upcoming birthday party! Love the designs and def will try the unicorn next!
I joined Full Bloom on a whim, thinking I couldn't even draw a straight line. Fast forward a month, and I'm creating cool zen doodles that my friends won't stop talking about! The VIP resources made it so easy and fun, I'm often caught giggling at my own progress.
Exactly how my frenchie looks in the mornings when we are about to go for a walk. Now this portrait proudly decorates the fridge. Loved it! Really awesome collection, highly recommend for all dog lovers.
I used to think art was not for me. But with the Full Bloom Club, I've discovered a hidden, humorous side of myself. My early attempts were laughable, but now I'm crafting pieces that bring a smile to everyone's face. The progress I've made with the VIP membership has been nothing short of miraculous and utterly enjoyable.
Too much fun. Never thought I am a person who likes cute stuff until I gave it a go. Way too cute and so much laughs. My avocado thinks so too that's why it is smiling.

A4 and US LetterA print-ready PDF, plus every page as a JPEG.ask away. The gnome has nowhere to be.

Whenever you like: tonight in the middle of November, on 1 December, or the week before Christmas. The doors aren't dated and nothing expires. Open one an evening, or a few at once when it's raining.
Then you'll have the most fun of anyone. Each step adds only the new line, in colour, and you copy just that. Wobbly lines are welcome here; that's where the faces get their expressions.
Please do. Hand round the same sheet and compare reindeer. One of them always ends up looking like somebody at the table, and that's the evening made.
No, it's all digital, so nobody has to wait in. A print-ready PDF in A4 and US Letter, plus every page as a JPEG. Print it, gift it, sell it: commercial rights included.
It helps. If yours has given up, open the page on a tablet and copy it onto any paper you like. The steps don't mind.
A black pen, plus whatever reds and yellows are rolling around the kitchen drawer.
Please do: cards, tags, walls, biscuits. A ceramic pen does mugs, a fabric pen does napkins, a chalk pen does windows. Selling what you make? Go ahead: commercial rights are included.
Write to me within 30 days and your money comes back. The gnome will pretend not to mind.
For years I bought other people’s Christmas cards and wrote “with love from all of us” inside, very neatly, as if neat handwriting counted as art.
Last November I drew a gnome on the front of one instead. He came out slightly cross-eyed. I posted it anyway, which for me was roughly as brave as jumping out of a plane.
In January my friend rang, and not about the card. About the gnome. He was still on her mantelpiece long after the bought cards had gone, and she wanted one for her granddaughter.
I sat in the kitchen afterwards and had a little cry, the happy kind. All my life I’d thought I was the one who couldn’t draw. It turns out I was only the one who hadn’t started.

P.S. The story goes that a little boy called Gerhard Lang kept asking how long it was until Christmas, so his mother stuck a sweet on a piece of card for every day of Advent. He grew up and, in 1908, printed one of the first advent calendars. The doors came later. The idea is the same: make the waiting the nicest part.
